American approval of Israel’s military campaign in Gaza has dropped to 32%, the lowest level since Gallup began tracking the issue in 2023, according to a new poll.
Disapproval now stands at 60%, reflecting a sharp 10-point decline in approval since September.

The July 7–21 survey shows deepening partisan divides. Approval among Democrats and independents has dropped 16 points each, to 8% and 25% respectively. Meanwhile, Republican approval rose to 71%, up five points.
Americans are slightly more supportive of Israel’s strikes on suspected nuclear sites in Iran, with 38% in favor and 54% opposed. Support for that action is also heavily partisan.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s favorability rating continues to slide, with 52% of Americans viewing him unfavorably — a record high. While 67% of Republicans still support Netanyahu, only 19% of independents and 9% of Democrats do.
