Authorities are investigating the suspicious death of a man found along a rural road west of Fresno.
Deputies responded around 7 a.m. Wednesday to a report of an injured person near South Chateau Fresno Avenue and West Kearney Boulevard.
When they arrived, they found the man deceased.
The victim has been identified as Billy Wayne Sinisgalli, 54, a transient in the Fresno area who was known by his middle name, Wayne, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
Homicide detectives and the coroner’s office determined Sinisgalli’s death was not due to natural causes.
Officials are working to learn more about his background and are seeking anyone who may have known him or have information about what led to his death.
