Independence Day is right around the corner and people are ready to celebrate!

GV Wire compiled a list of Fourth of July events happening in the greater Fresno area throughout the week.

Wednesday, July 2

Shaver Lake is hosting its 25th annual free fireworks show from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Reedley’s Celebrate American Block Party invites the community to enjoy a fireworks show, food trucks, craft vendors, train rides and a foam party.

The family-friendly event is from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on North Avenue in front of Reedley High School.

One of the Valley’s biggest Independence Day celebrations occurs nightly July 2 through July 5 at Wild Water Adventure Park. Each night at 9:15, the sky lights up with lasers and video in a multimedia show set to music. Check park website for admission prices.

Thursday, July 3

The annual Kerman American Spirit Fireworks Extravaganza will include food trucks, boutiques, bounce houses, water slides, and live entertainment.

The celebration is at Kerman High School Stadium with gates opening at 6 p.m. Tickets cost $4-$7 and can be purchased in advance.

Kingsburg High Football Stadium has organized a fireworks show that includes food and music.

The gates will open at 6 p.m. and fireworks begin at sunset. The entrance fee is $5, and parking is an additional $5. All proceeds go to the Kingsburg Seawolves program.

Selma encourages the community to bring lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy a Independence Day Celebration at Selma High School from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The event includes food vendors and a fireworks show. Tickets cost $2-$5.

Island Water Park will launch a fireworks display to end the night on July 3 and 4. The park is open from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. both days.

Friday, July 4

Fresno Freedom Run encourages everyone to begin the big day with a 4-mile or 2-mile run across Woodward Park. There will also be kids and veteran runs.

Participates can race, run or walk through the American flag lined course. They will receive an American flag themed shirt, food at the finish, timed results, and awards for the top three finishers in the various age groups. The runs will take place throughout the morning with registration $24 to $58. Prices increase on July 1.

A Tioga-Sequoia Beer Garden Block Party event will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 745 Fulton St in Fresno.

Lamonica Stadium at Clovis High School will host Clovis Freedom Fest from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. There will be food, entertainment, activities and a firework show. Tickets are $5.

A 4th of July Spectacular will take place at Sanger High School from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Admission costs $5 and a parking pass is $10.

The event includes music, a kids zone, local vendors, and a firework show.

The Fresno Grizzlies are throwing an Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza at their July 4th game against the Modesto Nuts. First pitch is at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25.25 each. The baseball team will also provide a post-game fireworks show for fans on July 5.

Bass Lake is hosting a boat parade at 7 p.m. and a fireworks show at 9 p.m.

The free event encourages people to line the beach or bring a boat out on the lake. Fireworks will be shot from a barge between The Pines and The Forks resorts.

The Madera Fairgrounds will hold a free 4th of July community event, including food, games, live music, and beverages. The event begins at 5 p.m. with fireworks starting at 9 p.m.

Saturday, July 5

A 5th of July Celebration at Fowler High School Football Stadium includes food, a kid zone, and fireworks. The free event begins at 6 p.m. and fireworks are launched at dusk.

Sunday, July 6

The Chowchilla Lions Club hosts an annual Independence Day Fireworks Show at the city’s fairgrounds.

Gates open at 7 p.m. and the fireworks will begin at about 9 p.m.
