The Fresno Arts Council is introducing Gallery on Fulton, an expansive outdoor venue that will premiere during ArtHop on Thursday, July 3, 2025.
The new space will transform eight blocks of Fulton Street between Inyo and Calaveras Streets into an open-air marketplace for artists, makers, and performers from 5 to 8 p.m. on First Thursdays. Traffic will continue flowing through the area while vendors set up displays along sidewalks.
Application Process Opens for Artists
Local creators interested in participating must submit applications through Submittable, according to guidelines posted on the Fresno Arts Council website. The venue exclusively features original artwork from local artists, and resale vendors are prohibited. Cultural and social service organizations offering art activities may also apply for space.
“The Gallery on Fulton brings its own set of challenges, but we are excited to make the space available to artists and makers to expand the ArtHop experience,” said Fresno Arts Council Executive Director Lilia Gonzáles Chávez. “We learned much during the soft launch in June.”
The Downtown Fresno Partnership will handle performance coordination at Kern Plaza, Mariposa Plaza and Warnor’s Corner. Mobile food vendors cannot operate within the designated event area.
ArtHop has connected artists with the community since 1996, with official venues hosting exhibitions and receptions monthly. The Gallery on Fulton initiative receives support from the city of Fresno and City Council District 3.
