A late-night fire heavily damaged a home near Gettysburg Avenue and Fresno Street, but all six people inside escaped without injury, officials said.

Fresno Fire Department crews responded to multiple 911 calls just after 11 p.m. Wednesday reporting a house engulfed in flames.

The first engine arrived to find heavy fire coming from the front of the home and launched an aggressive attack to contain the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
