Fresno police cited 95 drivers and motorcyclists during a motorcycle safety enforcement operation over the weekend, authorities said.

The crackdown took place Saturday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. and resulted in 78 citations for speeding, four for reckless driving, two for driving under the influence, and four for driving without a license or with a suspended license, the Fresno Police Department said.

Seven other drivers were cited for various mechanical and moving violations.

The operation was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
