The Kings County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a woman whose remains were discovered nearly a decade ago in a rural area south of Corcoran.

The unidentified victim was found wrapped in a tarp near the intersection of Sixth and Virginia avenues on May 13, 2015.
Investigators believe she was Hispanic or Latino, stood between 5 feet and 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighed between 100 and 130 pounds. She had brown eyes and black or gray hair and was estimated to be between 60 and 80 years old.

According to authorities, the woman was wearing a red and white horizontally striped T-shirt, baggy black yoga pants, and adult diaper underwear when she was discovered.
A forensic examination determined she would likely have been hunched over if able to walk and had been prepared for complete upper and lower dentures, though no dentures were recovered at the scene, authorities said.
The Sheriff’s Office has released two reconstructed images of the victim — one depicting how she may have looked with dentures and another without — in the hope someone will recognize her.
