Dinuba Police arrived first and transferred the investigation to the sheriff’s office, which determined the crime occurred in the encampment.

The victim told authorities that a dispute led to the suspect, Jose Jimenez, attacking him with a steak knife.

The victim blocked the knife from striking his head, but sustained a deep cut to his right arm.

He was treated at a local hospital and released.

Jimenez was located and arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
