A man was stabbed in a homeless encampment outside of Dinuba on Saturday evening, according to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.
Patrol deputies responded to the scene after the victim walked to Dinuba to call 911.

Dinuba Police arrived first and transferred the investigation to the sheriff’s office, which determined the crime occurred in the encampment.
The victim told authorities that a dispute led to the suspect, Jose Jimenez, attacking him with a steak knife.

The victim blocked the knife from striking his head, but sustained a deep cut to his right arm.
He was treated at a local hospital and released.

Jimenez was located and arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.
