Fresno residents will get an extra day to stuff wrapping paper and the remains of Christmas dinner into their waste and recycling bins this week.
The city of Fresno’s garbage truck drivers will celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays along with the rest of us, which means that garbage pickups this week and next will be delayed by a day starting Wednesday.
Garbage pickups normally scheduled for Wednesdays will be delayed to Thursday, Thursdays to Friday, and Fridays to Saturday, the city says.
The normal pickup schedule resumes the week of Jan. 6.
