Russia has advised its citizens to leave Israel amid rising tensions with Hezbollah and Iran, reports Newsweek.
Moscow’s ambassador to Tel Aviv, Anatoly Viktorov, urged Russian nationals to depart without delay.

“As for the current extreme aggravation, we reinforce this recommendation [not to visit Israel] and suggest that those citizens who are now in Israel even think about leaving this territory while there are such opportunities in the form of continued regular flights operated by a number of airlines, including the Israeli airline El Al,” Viktorov said.
The warning comes as fighting between Israeli forces and Hezbollah escalates. The conflict intensified after Israel’s ground invasion of southern Lebanon on Oct. 1.

The invasion, following months of airstrikes targeting Hezbollah, was aimed at neutralizing the militant group’s threat to northern Israel.
Hezbollah, backed by Iran, responded with cross-border attacks, contributing to significant casualties on both sides.
The group joined the conflict in support of Palestinians during the Israel-Hamas war that began in Gaza in 2023.
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has vowed Hezbollah and Hamas will not back down despite Israeli strikes that killed senior leaders of both groups.
