More than 8,000 kids in grades TK through 12th have signed up for Fresno Unified’s summer enrichment camps, about 1,000 more than last year, district spokeswoman AJ Kato said Monday.
And believe it or not, there are still some camps with openings this month. To register, click here.
The district offers a variety of summer camps, including adventure, college and career discovery (such as small engines and land, water, rail, and air transportation), creative arts, sports and fitness, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).
The best part: They’re free for Fresno Unified students! The camps are funded by the state’s Expanded Learning Opportunities Program, which means that taxpayers are covering the cost.
You can check out the programs offered in this catalogue.
