Colorado is leaving the Pac-12, and the Big 12 is ready to welcome the Buffaloes back to the conference they left a dozen years ago.

Colorado’s board of regents voted 9-0 in a special remote meeting Thursday to approve the conference switch in 2024.

With the landscape of college athletics ever-evolving, does Colorado’s Pac-12 exit open the door for Fresno State?

Much of the college football world is speculating on the Pac-12’s next steps and, yes, Fresno State is in the discussion.

However, the candidates mentioned most often are San Diego State, SMU, and Boise State.
