Splash Mountain and Sideshow Rob are back together again.
Brook and Robin Lopez, twin brothers and Fresno natives with 22 seasons of professional basketball between them, are set to be on the same team for the first time since they starred at Stanford University.
Waiting for the 7-footer in Milwaukee is Brook, who agreed Sunday to re-sign with the Bucks for four years and $52 million, according to ESPN and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Brook also is 7 feet tall. The two used to share a room in their home in Fresno, where they attended San Joaquin Memorial High.
They’ve Played for 8 Franchises (Working on 9)
They both put in two seasons at Stanford before deciding to turn pro. Brook was picked 10th in the 2008 NBA draft and Robin 15th. Together, in a parallel pair of 11-season careers, they’ve played for eight franchises (Robin has been on five; Milwaukee would make six).
The brothers haven’t been quoted directly about the reunion, but Robin, whose spirit is about as free as they come, put up a tweet that seemed to say … something.

Note: One of Robin’s nicknames, the one cited above, derives from his hair, which resembles that of Sideshow Bob of “The Simpsons.”
Though they’ve been globe-trotting millionaires for more than a decade, the brothers Lopez have stayed true to their Fresno roots. Robin, an avowed baseball fan, started a faux war of words with the Fresno Grizzlies, who in turn use a mascot that resembles Robin (or Brook?) in its Fresno Famous race.
Incredible likeness. I spend a lot of time walking around in a jersey with “BASKETBALL” on the front complemented w/ flesh colored shirts (But not like Buffalo Bill) #ISwearImNotBuffaloBill #ImCertainlyNotTheBuffaloBills #IdRatherBeBuffaloBill #PleaseGodDontMakeMeTheBuffaloBills https://t.co/pikIXSAGmO

And on May 15, Brook, after a monster playoff game against the Toronto Raptors (29 points, 11 rebounds), showed up for the post-game conference in a Grizzlies jersey.
