The Girl Scouts of America on Wednesday congratulated Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett on her appointment, but deleted the social media posts after sweeping criticism. The Scouts’ Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts featured an image of Barrett and the first four women justices to serve on the nation’s highest court.
Earlier today, we shared a post highlighting the five women who have been appointed to the Supreme Court. It was quickly viewed as a political and partisan statement which was not our intent and we have removed the post.
That includes Sandra Day O’Connor, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, whose death last month paved the way for President Donald Trump to nominate Barrett. Read More →
