Manufacturing jobs go unfilled as skill requirements increase

The US Labor Department reports that the number of manufacturing jobs available since 2009 has risen, and currently stands at its highest level in 15 years. With factory work evolving over the last 15 years, companies have invested in advanced machinery requiring new skills to operate.
