In a recent episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, a heated debate took place between lawyer and author Alan Dershowitz and political scientist Norman Finkelstein. The pair, who hadn’t shared a live television debate in over two decades, discussed the ongoing conflict between Israelis and Hamas in Gaza. The conversation touched on the controversial topics of whether Hamas and the Israel Defense Forces can be classified as terrorist organizations, and if Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people.

The ‘Dead Baby Strategy’: Dershowitz’s Take on Hamas Tactic

Dershowitz, known for his staunch defense of Israel, argued that Hamas employs a strategy he termed the “Dead Baby Strategy.” He explained, “Hamas’ strategy is to kill as many Jews as possible and provoke Israel into responding, and then hide their tunnels and fighters behind civilians.” He further contended that if Hamas were to lay down its arms, civilian casualties would cease.

Finkelstein Accuses Israel of Genocide

On the other hand, Finkelstein, a vocal critic of Israeli policies, countered that Israel has been engaging in a genocidal war in Gaza since the conflict’s inception. He cited a quote from the Israeli Defense Minister, stating, “There will be no electricity, no food, no water, no fuel,” and that they were “fighting human animals and [were] acting accordingly.”

The debate, while heated, served as a platform for the two to voice their contrasting views on the Israel-Palestine conflict, a topic that continues to divide opinions globally.
