Visalia police are asking for the public’s help finding a 17-year-old girl who was reported missing by her family earlier this month.

Jahira González was reported missing Sept. 8 after leaving her home in Visalia, the Visalia Police Department said.

Police said González was last known to be in the area of West Tulare Avenue in Visalia during the afternoon.

She is described as about 5 feet, 3 inches tall, with straight black-brown hair and brown eyes. She has a piercing on the right side of her cheek.

Police said she may have been wearing black jean cutoff shorts, a white top, and black-and-white Jordan shoes.

Anyone with information about González’s whereabouts or who may have seen her since Sept. 8 is asked to contact Visalia police Detective Aguilar at (559) 713-4211.
