Fresno police arrested a 24-year-old man early Tuesday after officers said they found him hiding in a domestic violence victim’s closet in violation of a criminal protective order.

Officers assigned to the Southeast Policing District responded about 3:34 a.m. to a report of a domestic disturbance, Fresno police told GV Wire.

Police said Noah Dobbins and the victim are in an intimate relationship and that a valid criminal protective order had been served against him.

Officers found Dobbins hiding inside the victim’s closet, police said.

Investigators later learned that Dobbins allegedly punched and kicked the victim, choked her, threatened her, and held her against her will.

Police said Dobbins also had two warrants for spousal abuse involving the same victim and was wanted in connection with a previous incident that occurred a little more than a week earlier.

Dobbins was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail.

The listed bail amounts total $185,000.
