Pablo Garcia Perez was sentenced Wednesday to three consecutive terms of life without the possibility of parole, plus an additional three years in state prison following his conviction on multiple felony charges involving the sexual abuse of a child, the Kern County District Attorney’s Office announced.

The sentence follows Perez’s May 18 conviction, when a jury found him guilty of six felony counts: forcible sodomy of a victim under 14 years of age, aggravated kidnapping with intent to rape, exhibiting harmful matter to a minor, possession of child pornography, forcible lewd touching of a child and continuous sexual abuse of a child.

The case was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney David L. Eller.

According to the district attorney’s office, the investigation began after the victim reported on Oct. 12, 2022, that Perez, a family member, had sexually abused the child beginning in 2021. The child said that Perez would lie to the victim about where she was getting taken in order to get the child into his car.

Perez would then drive her to rural areas around Arvin and would forcibly assault her.

The victim also revealed that Perez had threatened to kidnap her if she refused his advances or reported the crimes to her mother.

Prosecutors said that Perez would repeatedly use threats to solicit naked photos from the victim. He would also send inappropriate photos of himself to the minor.

Law enforcement investigations and medical examinations confirmed the victim’s report.

Perez, after being confronted with the evidence from his own cell phone, admitted to many of the crimes.
