Political commentator Peter Beinart said in a recent video that reports indicate the Trump administration has considered deporting foreign policy analyst Trita Parsi, executive vice president of the Quincy Institute, an anti-interventionist think tank in Washington.

Beinart said Parsi has been among analysts who warned that confrontation with Iran would be catastrophic for U.S. interests and argued that such voices are often overlooked in Washington foreign policy debates.

He criticized the idea of deportation, calling it inconsistent with open debate and noting that Parsi’s past analysis of Iran policy has been widely cited in discussions about the conflict.
