Slack Goes Down for Thousands of Users, Downdetector Shows

Slack experienced a possible outage Wednesday, with thousands of users reporting issues, according to Downdetector.com.

More than 2,800 users had reported problems with the platform as of 3:54 p.m. PT, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources.

Most users reported issues with sending and receiving messages.

The platforms status page shows no issue at this time.

Update at 3:57 p.m.

More than 3,400 users have now reported an issue with Slack.

Update at 4:05 p.m.

More than 6,000 users have now reported an issue with the platform. The status page now says, “Severe Latency Impacting All Slack Services.”

Additionally, the tracker’s incident reported said, “The Slack Engineering team is currently investigating severe latency impacting all Slack services. We’ll provide an update as soon as we have more information to share and apologize for any inconvenience this is causing.”
