A woman was arrested Monday after Kern County sheriff’s deputies found more than 1,300 oxycodone pills, methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms during a traffic stop and probation search near Rosamond, authorities said.

Deputies from the Rosamond Substation pulled over Bridget Ray around 8 a.m. near Rosamond Boulevard and Sierra Highway, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office said.

Ray, who is on felony probation for a prior narcotics sales case, was searched along with her vehicle. Deputies found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, the sheriff’s office said.

A follow-up search at Ray’s residence uncovered a backpack with about 1,365 oxycodone pills packaged for sale — with an estimated street value of $40,950 — as well as psilocybin mushrooms and more methamphetamine, investigators said.

Because the home is located near a school, Ray faces enhanced charges tied to drug sales in a school zone.

She was booked on multiple charges, including possession for sale of a controlled substance, possession of narcotics paraphernalia and sales of a narcotic near a school.

The sheriff’s office said it remains committed to targeting narcotics activity that threatens children and schools.
