A Fresno man was arrested this week after investigators linked him to a series of vehicle burglaries in Madera County’s Riverstone area, authorities said.
Between Thursday, Aug. 28, and Tuesday, Sept. 2, deputies received multiple reports of thefts from unlocked vehicles, including the loss of a firearm, bow releases, grooming tools, a tool kit, vehicle keys, a stereo and stolen mail, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said.
Surveillance footage showed a black SUV at the scenes. Investigators identified it as a 2008 Ford Edge and tied it to Felipe Martinez Medina, 38. He is on Post Release Community Supervision for a stolen vehicle conviction.
Martinez was arrested Tuesday in Fresno while in another stolen vehicle. Deputies later served search warrants that turned up stolen mail from Riverstone and property linked to a Clovis case.
A Madera County arrest warrant has been issued, and Martinez will face local charges once released from Fresno County Jail.
