One of Fresno’s first cannabis companies to open a dispensary will soon unveil a second location.

The Artist Tree will open near Shaw and Marty avenues on June 27, according to a news release from the company.

This will mark the brand’s 10th store overall.

“We’re so excited and grateful to have the opportunity to open a second location in the city of Fresno,” said The Artist Tree founder Lauren Fontein. “Since opening our first Fresno store in 2022, the Fresno community has embraced our welcoming, creative and communal ethos. Our new location will help us better serve residents in central and southern Fresno while providing the same curated product selection and dedicated customer service as our current store.”

Artist Tree to Celebrate Grand Opening with Food, Entertainment

While the store will open earlier, its grand opening is set for July 19 with free food, entertainment, and promotions.

In addition to cannabis products, the store will also feature art from local artists. At the same time as the opening, two murals sponsored by The Artist Tree will be unveiled at the Farber Educational Campus in downtown Fresno.

Charitable donations from the company include funding for the Boys & Girls Club of Fresno County, Camp Kesem at Fresno State, Valley Teen Ranch, Fresno Deaf & Hard of Hearing Service Center, Fresno Rainbow Pride, and the Central California Food Bank.

In the most recent fiscal year, cannabis businesses netted the city $3.4 million in revenue, according to Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer’s budget hearing on May 15.
