A 37-year-old woman from Porterville was arrested in Kern County after an attempted murder and assault in Pixley early Friday morning, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
Just before 4:30 a.m., deputies responded to a stabbing call at a home on the 11300 block of Williams Avenue in Pixley.

Deputies found two victims — one with a stab wound to the neck and another with a bite wound.
The stabbing victim was airlifted to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition. The suspect, identified as Leticia Salas, fled the scene before deputies arrived.

Through investigative efforts, detectives were able to track Salas’ vehicle. With the assistance of allied agencies, she was located and taken into custody in Kern County.
Salas faces charges of attempted murder and felony assault.
