A light but rare 3.8 magnitude earthquake struck southern Maine on Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, sending trembles as far south as Boston.

The earthquake’s epicenter was about 10 miles east of Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the survey said. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

Social media users reported feeling their homes shake in Boston, about 60 miles south of the epicenter, and Freeport, Maine, about 70 miles north.
