Two drivers were arrested early Friday morning after California Highway Patrol officers caught them racing on Highway 41, south of the Madera County line in Fresno, at speeds of up to 120 mph, authorities said in a statement.

The drivers were pulled over near Children’s Boulevard, taken into custody, and booked into Fresno County Jail, the CHP reported.

One of the drivers was in the middle of a DoorDash delivery, while the other was on his way to work when they began racing, officers said.

Both vehicles will be impounded for 30 days following the arrests.
