What new Fresno State football coach Matt Entz wanted for Christmas was incoming players to fortify a program weakened by transfer portal defections.

Bakersfield College freshman defensive lineman Logan Goodspeed and Snow (Utah) College sophomore offensive lineman Braylan Henderson have declared for the Bulldogs.

Goodspeed, 6-4, 260 pounds, accumulated 26 tackles and six sacks in 2024. The Stockdale High School graduate had offers from Mountain West conference rivals Hawaii, New Mexico, San Diego State, UNLV, and Utah State but decided to remain in the Valley.

Henderson Returns Home

Henderson, 6-4, 295 pounds, spent two years at Snow but played one and has three seasons of eligibility. The Tulare High graduate had an offer from Murray State but chose to come back home.

He is the third offensive lineman to commit to Fresno State, which has a new offensive line coach, Zach Crabtree.

Crabtree was brought on board from USC by Entz on Friday. With the acquisition of transfers like USC’s Gino Quinones and Iowa tight end Kyson Van Vugt, the Bulldogs appear focused on recruits who can help Entz’s ground-oriented offense.
