Victor Vargas, 24, of Clovis was arrested Wednesday morning in connection with an armed robbery at a local massage parlor, the Clovis Police Department said in a statement.

Around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were dispatched to the area of Shaw and Dewitt avenues, where witnesses said an adult male entered the business, brandished a handgun, and demanded cash from an employee before fleeing in a car.

Fortunately, no injuries or gunfire were reported during the incident, police said.

Investigators used private surveillance footage and the city’s camera network to identify Vargas as the suspect.

He was arrested near Shaw and Minnewawa avenues on Wednesday morning, according to authorities.

Later in the day, detectives served a search warrant at his home, where they found three airsoft guns.

Authorities are working to confirm if any of them resemble the firearm used in the robbery.

Vargas was booked into Fresno County Jail on charges of robbery and his bail is set at $25,000.
