To infinity, beyond and, hopefully, a forever home.
Buzz Lightyear, a scruffy 1-year-old dog weighing about 25 pounds, is looking for a new family after he and his friend Woody spent about a month living near a business in an industrial area, according to Mell’s Mutts.
The pair had become familiar faces on social media, where people repeatedly posted about the wandering dogs. But despite the attention, nobody knew where Buzz and Woody belonged.
That’s when Mell’s Mutts stepped in.
Now in the rescue’s care, Buzz appears ready to trade his industrial-area adventures for life at home.
Mell’s Mutts describes him as an adorable, good-natured dog who likes people and gets along with other dogs. And while his name may have started as a playful nod to the “Toy Story” character, the rescue says the personality fits.
Buzz is outgoing, silly, and friendly, with Mell’s Mutts saying he “actually lives up to his name.”
The rescue believes his easygoing personality would make him a good fit in just about any home.
After a month of uncertainty, Buzz Lightyear’s next adventure could be the biggest one yet: finding his people.
