Fresno police identified the victim and a suspect in an apparent murder suicide that took place Thursday afternoon in southeast Fresno.
According to a news release from the department, police responded to a report of a shooting near Burgan Avenue and Fountain Way at 4:20 p.m.
There, police found 42-year-old Nicholas Uribe, identified as the suspect, and 42-year-old Angelica Reyes, identified as the victim, suffering from gunshot wounds. Life-saving efforts from medical personnel failed, and both Uribe and Reyes were later pronounced dead.
Fresno’s 18th Homicide Investigation of 2026
Detectives have determined the case to be a domestic-violence related murder suicide and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the event is ongoing. Police report this as the 18th murder investigation of the year.
