A routine traffic stop in Tulare County led to the seizure of approximately 45 pounds of methamphetamine and the arrest of a driver on multiple narcotics-related charges, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A CHP officer stopped a vehicle after determining the driver was unlicensed. Officers said the driver appeared unusually nervous during the stop, prompting further investigation.
The vehicle was towed, and during a required inventory search, officers found about 45 pounds of methamphetamine, nearly $1,500 in cash and a digital scale, CHP said.
The driver was arrested on multiple narcotics-related charges and booked into the Tulare County Jail.
CHP did not release the driver’s identity or additional details about the charges.
