LeBron James announced Friday morning that his record-shattering NBA career will continue with the Philadelphia 76ers.

James. 41, will ink a two-year, $8 million contract with a player option, Klutch Sports Group CEO Rich Paul told ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The superstar forward won NBA titles with his previous three teams — the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Miami Heat (two) and the Lakers. By signing with Philadelphia, he figures to give the 76ers a powerhouse lineup that will contend for the top spot in the Eastern Conference.

James told the world via social media why he chose the 76ers after leaving the Lakers to become a free agent.

The four-time NBA champion and league’s all-time leading scorer exited the Lakers after eight seasons in June.
