The California Department of Transportation will conduct guardrail repair operations along northbound Highway 41 in Madera County beginning Wednesday night.

The closure is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. Wednesday through 3:30 a.m. Thursday, according to Caltrans.

Maintenance crews will perform guardrail repairs along northbound Highway 41 between Avenue 12 and just south of Avenue 11.

During the closure, northbound Highway 41 traffic will be diverted around the closure limits using the No. 1 lane of southbound Highway 41. Drivers traveling southbound will use the No. 2 lane within the closure area.

Caltrans said closures may continue for longer periods each day if needed due to weather or other uncontrollable events that delay maintenance work. Scheduled closures will occur when weather permits.

Motorists are encouraged to drive with extra caution, allow additional travel time, and remain alert for road maintenance personnel and the “Slow for the Cone Zone” message.
