It’s not often you run into a cat named Joel.

But this particular jovial Joel is named after the kind-hearted mailman who found him.

This adorable, chunky boy was first spotted by his namesake on his delivery route, where the sweet little kitten greeted him with a wave of excitement. Knowing Joel needed help, the mailman stepped in and saved him, and now this lovable kitten is ready to find his forever home!

Joel is a big friendly 2-year-old with a black-and-white coat that’s as cute as can be. He’s got a mellow and easy-going personality that makes him fit right in with everyone he meets.

Whether it’s playing with his kitten friends, lounging around the house, or simply getting lots of love and attention, Joel is always happy and content.

He’s the kind of kitten who will purr and bonk you for attention — his way of saying, “I love you, pet me please!” He especially loves chin and ear scratches and he will be your best friend if you show him that kind of love.

More to Know About Joel

Joel has been around young children but would do best as a single pet in his new home. He likes to be the one in charge and can get a little overwhelmed when there are other kitties around.

While Joel does have scarring on one of his eyes from a past infection before coming to us, it doesn’t cause him any issues. However, it can water at times. The vet has assured us there are no expected long-term medical concerns. The little scar just adds extra character to this already special boy.
