A gas leak prompted road closures in Dinuba on Tuesday, according to the City of Dinuba Fire Department.

Fire crews responded to a gas leak on East El Monte Way between Snyder and Palm avenues. Officials said El Monte Way was closed in both directions as crews worked at the scene.

The fire department advised motorists to use alternate routes and said the roadway would remain closed for an undetermined amount of time while The Gas Company worked to contain the leak.
