A parolee was arrested Friday night after authorities recovered a stolen vehicle in Visalia, according to the Visalia Police Department.
At approximately 9 p.m., detectives with the task force located an occupied stolen vehicle in the carport of an apartment complex in the 1200 block of South Central Street. With assistance from Visalia Police Department patrol officers, authorities contacted the suspect at the vehicle.
The suspect, Richard Ramos, 45, was taken into custody without incident, officials said.
Officers determined Ramos was on active California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation parole and had an active Ramey warrant related to auto theft charges connected to the stolen vehicle.
Ramos was transported and booked on suspicion of unlawful taking or driving of a vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, and violation of parole.
