Nilla Wafers is partnering with Lucasfilm to release a special-edition cookie inspired by Grogu, timed ahead of the theatrical debut of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu on May 22, the company announced Wednesday.

The collaboration introduces Grogu Nilla Nummies, a limited-edition version of the classic vanilla cookie inspired by the character’s on-screen snacking moments in the Star Wars universe. The product will be available at Walmart beginning Wednesday and at additional retailers nationwide starting Monday, April 27, according to the company.

The cookies will be sold in 11-ounce packs with a suggested price of $4.29.

“Nilla has been a beloved cookie across generations, creating joyful, shareable moments,” said Caroline Suppiger, brand manager for Nilla at Mondelēz International. “This collaboration allows us to celebrate Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu in a fun and unexpected way.”

The companies said the release is designed to connect with fans ahead of the film’s debut, drawing on Grogu’s popularity and internet culture surrounding the character’s love of food.

Grogu is a character from the Star Wars franchise, introduced in The Mandalorian, who belongs to the same mysterious species as Yoda and is known for his strong connection to the Force.

As part of a promotional offer, customers who buy two Grogu Nilla Nummies products can receive a $5 Fandango promo code toward a movie ticket for Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, subject to terms and availability.

Special themed cookies will also be offered to premiere guests at the film’s launch events, according to the announcement.
