OpenAI's ChatGPT Down for Thousands of Users, Downdetecter Shows

OpenAI experienced a possible outage Monday, with thousands of users reporting issues, according to Downdetector.com.

More than 2,000 users had reported problems with the platform as of 7:41 a.m. PT, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources.

Most users reporting problems to Downdetector said they were experiencing ChatGPT issues.

The platform status checker says that they are investigating the issue.

Update at 7:52 a.m.

More than 2,700 users have now reported an issue with the platform. The status checker indicates that OpenAI is still investigating the issue.

Update at 8:01 a.m.

Nearly 4,000 users have now reported an issue with ChatGPT. The status checker still indicates that OpenAI is still searching for a solution.

Update at 8:14 a.m.

More than 5,000 users have reported that they are experiencing an issue with ChatGPT. The status checker notes that users are unable to load ChatGPT and Codex. It also says that they are still investigating the issue.
