A 40-year-old Porterville man has been arrested on multiple sexual battery charges after authorities say he assaulted four women, including one at a social gathering last November.

Porterville police said Jorge Antonio Garcia was first arrested in November 2025 after a woman reported being sexually assaulted while she slept at a residence on the 300 block of North Indiana Street.

Officers said Garcia was also found in possession of cocaine at the time and was booked at the TCSO South County Detention Facility on charges of sexual battery and drug possession.

He later posted a $65,000 bail.

Detectives continued the investigation and identified three additional victims who either had not realized they were assaulted or had not reported the incidents.

On Tuesday, authorities obtained an arrest warrant for Garcia on the new charges. He was taken into custody the same day at the same Porterville address and booked with bail set at $100,000.
