“Please Please Please” let this report be true.

Rolling Stone published a story Tuesday, Sept. 9, reporting that popstar Sabrina Carpenter and reggaeton/pop songstress Karol G would both headline the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April 2026.

But is it true?

Coachella 2026 Headliners Leaked?

Goldenvoice, the promoter behind Coachella, has yet to announce the 2026 lineup, so there is still no confirmation that Sabrina Carpenter and Karol G will headline (the festival typically announces the lineup via press release as well as a poster drop on its social media pages).

The 2025 lineup was unveiled on Nov. 20, 2024, and this year’s announcement is rumored for a similar timeframe — but until Goldenvoice makes it official, the reports remain unconfirmed.

“Insiders reveal that the final headliner — outside of the after-hours dance music spot — has yet to be nailed down,” Rolling Stone also reported.

When is Coachella 2026?

Coachella 2026 will take place Friday, April 10 through Sunday, April 12, as well as Friday, April 17 through Sunday, April 19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.

Coachella 2026 Predictions

Although many names have been thrown around Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Threads lately as potential headliners, a few names continue to rise to the top of the potential Coachella artist conversation.

Here are some of the most-discussed artists that we think could make the next lineup:

  • Tame Impala
  • Radiohead
  • Sarah Kinsley
  • Florence + The Machine
  • Katseye
  • Sombr
  • Olivia Dean
  • Pink Panthress

Karol G Could Be the First Latina to Headline Coachella

Karol G and Sabrina Carpenter have both taken the Coachella stage before — Karol G in 2022 while promoting her LP “KG0516,” a landmark year that saw 20 Latino artists and unprecedented Latin American representation, and Carpenter in 2024, where she made the live debut of her hit “Espresso.” Though Bad Bunny became the first Latino headliner in 2023, no Latina artist has ever topped the bill at the festival. The Colombian reggaeton singer would be the first.

“Many artists start off on other Coachella stages and scale up through the years. My first participation at Coachella, though it wasn’t as a headliner, was on the main stage, and two artists ahead of the headlining act,” Karol G previously told The Desert Sun. “That was a big commitment for me. … It was a moment for me to show who we Latinos are, to introduce a culture that many people may still not know very well.”
