A 4-month-old puppy named Rosie is quickly winning hearts after overcoming a devastating accident that left her with only three legs.
Rosie, a new rescue, suffered the injury before she was taken in. Despite efforts to save her leg, it had to be amputated. But the loss has done little to slow down the energetic puppy.
The tiny tri-pawd spends her days chasing toys, playing with other dogs and keeping up with every bit of puppy fun around her. Those caring for Rosie say she seems completely unaware that she is any different.
At full grown, Rosie is expected to weigh no more than 30 pounds. With her playful personality and scruffy look, rescuers say she resembles a “little hyena.”
Rosie’s upbeat spirit has made her an instant favorite and a reminder that resilience can come in a very small package.
“She will make a great little best friend,” her rescuers said.
Rosie’s story is one of determination, joy and the kind of spirit that refuses to be held back.
