Monday Night Football is back as the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears face off at Soldier Field in Chicago.

Vikings fans will get to watch quarterback J.J. McCarthy make his NFL debut, ESPN said, as football fans watch Week 1 of the regular season wrap up on Monday, Sept. 8 as the journey to Super Bowl 2026 takes shape.

What Channel Is Monday Night Football On?

Fans can watch the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears face off on ABC or ESPN. But for the remainder of the season, some games will be ESPN exclusive games and during some weeks, ABC will air an exclusive game in conjunction with an ESPN exclusive game, according to the network, so be sure to check for each game. For example, a Week 2 matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and the Las Vegas Raiders will be on ESPN, according to schedules from ABC and the NFL.

Streaming options include ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer streaming platform and NFL+, the NFL’s streaming service.

What Time Is Monday Night Football Today?

Kickoff is at 5:15 p.m. PDT for fans on the West Coast, and at 7:15 p.m. CDT for fans in the Midwest.

  • Week 1: Minnesota Vikings versus the Chicago Bears (ESPN/ABC)
  • Week 2: Tamba Bay Buccaneers versus the Houston Texans (ESPN/ABC)
  • Week 2: Los Angeles Chargers versus the Las Vegas Raiders (ESPN)
  • Week 3: Detroit Lions versus the Baltimore Ravens (ESPN/ABC)
  • Week 4: New York Jets versus the Miami Dolphins (ESPN)
  • Week 4: Cincinnati Bengals versus the Denver Broncos (ABC)
  • Week 5: Kansas City Chiefs versus the Jacksonville Jaguars (ESPN/ABC)
  • Week 6: Buffalo Bills versus the Atlanta Falcons (ESPN)
  • Week 6: Chicago Bears versus the Washington Commanders (ABC)
  • Week 7: Tampa Bay Buccaneers versus the Detroit Lions (ESPN/ABC)
  • Week 7: Houston Texans versus the Seattle Seahawks (ESPN)
  • Week 8: Washington Commanders versus the Kansas City Chiefs (ESPN/ABC)
  • Week 9: Arizona Cardinals versus the Dallas Cowboys (ESPN/ABC)
