A man was stabbed Thursday morning in Visalia and police quickly arrested a suspect at the scene, authorities said.

Officers responded around 8:19 a.m. to the 2100 block of South Garden Street after receiving a report of an assault, the Visalia Police Department said.

They found a man who had been stabbed and Jonathon Dewayne Ingram, 23, who was taken into custody.

Both the victim and Ingram were transported to Kaweah Health for treatment.
