CHP reports that the far left lane of southbound I-5, south of Grapevine Road, will open. Emergency crews and equipment will still be on the scene. They are asking for drivers to be cautious as they pass through the area.

Original story

Southbound Interstate 5 south of the Grapevine is closed after a commercial vehicle caught fire on Wednesday, authorities said.

The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames, sending smoke across all lanes, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Emergency crews are on scene working to extinguish the fire.

No additional details on injuries or the cause of the fire were immediately available.
