Billionaire California farmers Lynda and Stewart Resnick have listed their Aspen estate for $300 million, a price that could make it the most expensive home ever sold in the United States, SFGATE reported.
The 74-acre property, known as Little Lake Lodge, sits just a mile from downtown Aspen and includes multiple residences, 18 bedrooms, 20 full bathrooms, a private lake, pool and 30-foot ceilings in the 18,500-square-foot main house. The couple, who bought the estate in the 1990s, also added a special oxygen system to combat Aspen’s high altitude.
Listing agent Mandy Welgos of Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s International Realty called the property “a unicorn” for its size and location.
The Resnicks, whose Central Valley empire spans almonds, pistachios, pomegranates and mandarin oranges, also own Fiji Water, Justin Winery and Teleflora. They are known for both their philanthropy and political contributions across California.
