Fresno Police Arrest 16 Drivers in DUI Operation

Sixteen drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday, the Fresno Police Department reported.
Drivers charged with a first-time DUI can face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, along with a suspended license.
The department said it will hold another DUI enforcement operation on Saturday, Aug. 30.
The enforcement program is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
