Deputies are searching for a 79-year-old man who went missing late Friday after walking away from a Fresno medical care facility, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.
Authorities said Ramiro Ortiz left the facility near Belmont and Cornelia avenues around 11 p.m.
He had been staying there because of ongoing medical issues, though he has no known mental health conditions.
Deputies searched throughout Saturday but have not located Ortiz, who is familiar with the area but does not have a cell phone.
Ortiz is described as 5-foot-4, about 120 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hat, a long-sleeve blue dress shirt and khaki pants.
