CalFire reports the Dias Fire has grown by 130 acres, bringing the total to 650 acres with no containment.

Original Story

A wildfire burning west of Lost Hills Road near Jacalitos Creek Road in Fresno County had scorched 520 acres as of Wednesday morning and remains uncontained, according to CalFire.

The blaze, named the Dias Fire, was first reported at 3:25 a.m. and is burning grass through steep terrain, making access difficult for fire crews. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No structures have been damaged and no injuries or fatalities have been reported. However, CalFire said numerous firefighting aircraft from across the state are conducting aerial suppression missions as conditions permit.

About 50 personnel are assigned to the fire. The suppression effort includes eight engines, one water tender, one bulldozer, one hand crew, and additional support units.
