A baby was rescued from a hot car in Corona last week after officers found him alone inside with the engine off and windows rolled up, the Corona Police Department said in a statement.

Police responded to a call on June 17 reporting the child left unattended in the vehicle.

When officers arrived, they saw the baby in visible distress and broke a window to get him out, according to a statement.

The Corona Fire Department measured the car’s interior temperature at 110 degrees using a thermal device, officials said.

Further details about the child’s condition or whether any arrests were made were not immediately available.
